Flatand by Edwin Abbott is . . . an interesting book. It's about a Square residing in Flatland (a land of only two dimensions), who visits Lineland (a land of only one dimension), and our world, Spaceland (three dimensions). He tells of his adventures, and of Flatland. There are many other things that I could say about it, such as that it is a wonderful introduction to geometry, that it is a wonderful fiction book, and according to some a social commentary. I could tell you all that stuff, but that would take a lot of time, and you probably don't care anyway.
At any rate, here are the versions that Amazon.com has to offer. The first one listed is the Dover Thrift Edition, the edition I have. I bought it for a dollar at an outlet mall. For you it's 80 cents. That's not too bad for a complete book. The Dover Thrift Edition IS unabridged, just so you'll know.
While we're on the subject, the Dover Thrift Editions set of books is a wonderful collection of books, and are amazingly cheap, the highest priced books being two dollars. Most are only a dollar, but of course it's even cheaper through Amazon.com.
